A Large Plaster Model of Indian Chief Holding a Tomahawk and some Cigars. This is a magnificent Universal Statuary Corp. of Chicago Indian Chief Statue 1972 numbered 186. This has been made by the Chicago company founded by Jack and Leo Luecchesi in the 1930s. They used plaster and chalk in the early years depending on the size of the object, later they used chalk mixed in resin and resin alone. The models were only ever made in the hundreds and not mass produced in the thousands. This is a limited edition piece and highly collectible. It measures approx. 3 1/2 feet tall and 30 inches in round. It weighs approx. 40 - 50 lbs.
Location: Orland Park
