Just wondering if any of you leave your GPS up on the windshield while
you're away from the truck?
I used to do that with mine, but nowadays leaving the GPS mount stuck
on there is screaming out "this baby has a valuable GPS in
it!"
It's a pain for guys to bring the mount with us (no purse, of course),
but I have been using a newer TomTom GPS with a much better mount.
It's the XL330s and it looks like this:
Have any of you tried this in your trucks? I can actually fit it in
my pocket, unlike the old school ones!

Where does it mount? It looks like it would clip on your sun visor. I have
3rd-party short goose neck that I use on mine, and just store it in my
center console. Out of sight, out of mind. But then, locks are only there to
keep honest people honest; any dishonest person will find a way in, be it
destructive or not.
Will that mount work on the older tomtoms, or just the new ones? I have a
One, 2nd edition.

The new mount is included and designed to work with the new models.
It actually twists around and sticks to your windshield with a suction cup, just doesn't take up as much space as previous models did.
The basic idea of the smaller mount is so that you can quickly pop it off the windshield and put it in your briefcase/glovebox/etc. with no hassle.
But as long as you're doing this with the TomTom ONE 2nd edition, I'd say stick with that. It's a great device (I used to have one) Just make sure that you remove the entire mount from the windshield when you park your truck...most people remove the GPS but leave the mount and that isn't enough.
